Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe international airport – Meet and greet and be transferred to your booked Hotel in Entebbe town
Your Uganda safari begins as you arrive at Entebbe international airport, where a company representative and your professional English-speaking safari guide will warmly greet you. You’ll be transferred to your booked hotel in Entebbe town, about 10-20 minutes’ drive from the airport. If time permits, you’ll visit the Botanical gardens for a nature walk and then Lake Victoria, where you can spot water birds and get acquainted with Uganda’s natural beauty. Day 2: Entebbe city – Drive to Kibale Forest national park – Bigodi sanctuary swamp and community tour
After breakfast, load your luggage into the safari vehicle and check out of your lodge. Your Uganda tour continues as you journey to Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its significant chimpanzee population of over 1500 individuals. The park, often called Africa’s primate capital, boasts over 13 primate species, more than any other national park or wildlife reserve in Africa. It’s also home to East Africa’s largest populations of the threatened L’hoest’s monkey and red colobus monkeys.
En route to Kibale Forest national park, you’ll enjoy views of tea estates, forests, and the legendary Rwenzori Mountain. Stop in Fort Portal City for lunch and a brief city tour before continuing to the park. After checking into your lodge, visit Bigodi Swamp for a nature walk and community experience.
Bigodi sanctuary swamp is a haven for bird lovers, with over 138 bird species and eight primate species. The swamp, managed by the local community, aims to preserve unique environmental features for future generations. During your walk, you’ll have the chance to spot various monkeys and bird species. The Bigodi community walk offers insights into local life, traditional activities, and harmonious coexistence with wildlife.

Day 3: Kibale Forest national park – Chimpanzee tracking safari experience – Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park – Visit Katwe salt mining community
Begin your day with a briefing at the park information offices about chimpanzee tracking guidelines. Then, set off on your guided forest walk to find the intelligent chimpanzees, our closest living relatives sharing 98.8% of human DNA. During this Uganda wildlife safari highlight, you may encounter other wildlife and bird species. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you’ll have a maximum of one hour to observe their behavior and take photos.
After your chimpanzee trek, enjoy refreshments and lunch before driving to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife including over 95 mammal species and about 600 bird species. Before checking into your lodge, visit the Katwe community, famous for its traditional salt mining practices dating back to the 16th century. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in salt mining and learn about this centuries-old tradition.

After lunch and a short break, enjoy a 2-hour afternoon boat cruise safari on the Kazinga channel, connecting Lake George and Lake Edward.
