This 7 Day Big five wildlife safari offers a combined adventure in Murchison Falls NP and Kidepo Valley NP. The primary focus is wildlife viewing, with some birding and cultural experiences. Your Uganda safari begins as you arrive in Entebbe, where our skilled guides will greet and transfer you to Gulu. You’ll have the opportunity to visit Zziwa rhino sanctuary en route. The next day, you’ll journey to Kidepo Valley National Park, exploring the Narus valley, Kidepo valley, and hot springs while spotting wildlife. On day 5, you’ll travel to Murchison Falls National Park for waterfall hikes, game drives, and a launch cruise. Your Uganda tour concludes on day 7 with a return to Entebbe for your departure flight.

Day 1: Arrival and pickup from Entebbe Airport, transfer to Gulu
Your Uganda wildlife safari begins as you’re greeted by our experienced driver at Entebbe Airport. After a brief overview of your tour, you’ll start your journey to Gulu in Northern Uganda. This scenic drive offers optional activities, including a visit to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. Enjoy lunch en route before arriving in Gulu for the evening.

Day 2: Gulu to Kidepo Valley National park
Your Uganda adventure continues with an early breakfast before a 3-4 hour drive to Kidepo Valley National park. The journey offers eye-catching sights, including traditional thatched houses and scenic hills separating Acholi and Karamoja lands. After crossing seasonal rivers, you’ll reach Kidepo Valley NP for lunch and an evening game drive in the Narus Valley.

Day 3: Game drive in the Narus Valley
Wake up to a energizing breakfast before heading out for a game drive in the Narus Valley. This Uganda safari highlight is known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, zebras, and numerous bird species. The valley’s permanent water source, Narus River, attracts a variety of animals.

Day 4: Game drive in Narus Valley and hot springs visit in Kidepo valley
After breakfast, return to Narus valley for another game drive. Kidepo’s excellent observation points make for rewarding wildlife viewing. After lunch and relaxation at the lodge, drive to Kidepo valley near the South Sudan border to visit hot springs. Keep an eye out for ostriches in this area.

Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National park
Depart Kidepo National park after breakfast and head to Murchison Falls National park. Enter the park with an en-route game drive in the northern sector. Visit the top of the falls before proceeding to your lodge for an evening at leisure.

Day 6: Game drive and launch cruise
Start your day with breakfast before taking the ferry to Paraa for a game drive. This Uganda tour highlight offers opportunities to spot the big five. After lunch, enjoy a launch cruise to the bottom of the falls, where you’ll see various birds, giant crocodiles, and wildlife. Option to hike to the top of the falls before returning to the lodge.
