4 Days Gorilla Tour in Uganda
Day 1: TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
Early morning transfer by road to Bwindi National Park in south western Uganda, passing through the rolling hills of western Uganda, a total of 10 – 11 hrs drive will bring you the home of endangered Mountain Gorillas. You’ll have an en route stop at the equator for photo shots and curio sopping or experiment. Overnight Buhoma Lodge or similar

Day 2: GORILLA TREK/COMMUNITY WALK/FOREST WALKS
Today you will be required be up early for breakfast before you head on to Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a pre trek briefing, which lasts for about 10 – 20 minutes. You’ll join up with other visitors to make a total of 8 persons per group as required by policy per each gorilla group/family. Tracking gorillas is un-predictable and can be very strenuous due to the hilly terrain. We encourage for your own enjoyment to make sure that you are relatively fit and healthy. On average trekking can take from 2 – 4 hrs, viewing Gorillas is strictly for an hour before you return to the Lodge. We recommend you take at least 2 liters of water each, packed lunch and a porter.
If you’re trek happen to take a short time, you can opt to do other optional activities like community walk – visiting the community farm land, local school, hospital, African medicine man and a local brewer or forest walk in search for forest birds as you wind up your stay at Bwindi. Day 3: TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK, GAME DRIVE & BOAT CRUISE
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park 6 hrs drive, primarily to break the long journey from Bwindi National Park back to Kampala/Entebbe. You’ll do a game drive on your way into this small 260 square kilometer park which is home to Zebras, topi, eland, klispringer, buffalo, oribi, statunga as well as an excellent variety of water and savannah bird species like crested crane, marabou stork and bronze-tailed starling.
In the afternoon, continue to Lake Mburo which the park derives from her name, for a safari boat cruise, a haven for hippos and a variety of birds.

Day 4: OPTIONAL SAFARI WALK/HORSE RIDING
You can choose explore this pretty park with a local range on foot or do a horse ride before you head to Kampala/Entebbe.

Depart for Kibale National Park 5 hrs drive away and home to an estimated 1000 chimpanzees. This park is most noted for its primates population, it protects a well studied habituated population of Common Chimpanzee Uganda safari, as well as several species of Central African monkey including the red – tailed monkey, chimpanzees, olive baboons, black and white colobus, Uganda Mangabey, and L’Hoest’s Monkey.

DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE TREK BIGODI SWAMP WALK
Today you will have the opportunity to track chimpanzee that leaves Kanyanchu at 8:00am. The forest walk will expect to take 2 to 3 hrs where you will follow chimpanzees, meet up with them as they go about with their daily activities and watch them for an hour.
After lunch, you will do a swamp walk at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, which is probably better for general monkey viewing and one of the finest birding trails in the country. Overnight Primates Lodge

DAY 3: SECOND CHIMPANZEE TREK BIGODI COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Today you will go for a second chimpanzee trek. Afternoon visit KAFRED a community based organization whose purpose is to protect the local environment while advancing health, education and economic growth within the community in Kibale and learn how this CBO has changed lives and still continues to do so.

DAY 4: TO ENTEBBE NGAMBA BOAT EXCURSION
Transfer to Entebbe 5 hrs drive and take a boat cruise to Ngamba Island chimpanzee sanctuary 45 minutes ride. At the Island you, will view chimpanzees during the afternoon feeding session from a raised plat form and understand why these are our closest cousins! Return to the main land by speed boat. Day 3: TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK BOAT CRUISE
After breakfast you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park the most popular and accessible savannah reserve 3 hrs drive. This park is home to a number of wildlife including; elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, Uganda Kob, crocodiles, warthog, water buck, bush buck, topi, baboon and birds, all typical of riverine and Savannah habitats.
In the afternoon take a boat cruise on the Natural channel which, joins lakes Edward and George believed to have the largest concentration of hippos in the world, provides one of the most memorable experiences of this park. Overnight Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 4: GAME DRIVE TO KAMPALA/ ENTEBBE
Wake for an early morning game drive and expect to see a number of wildlife including; elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, Uganda Kob, crocodiles, warthog, water buck, bush buck, topi, baboon and a variety of birdlife. Some time you might not be able to see all the animals because they keep movin. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast and then transfer to Kampala/Entebbe 8 hrs drive.
